Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Anyone doing anything unusual or different for Valentine's? Hubby and I are planning to celebrate on Saturday! I can not wait it has been awhile since we have been on a date. Plus with baby coming we need to take as many alone times together as we possibly can! Last night hubby and I went to the grocery store for a few items after church. It was a site to see how many men were in the store selecting flowers, candy, cards, and other such stuff. The flowers were quite the display and I love flowers. I don't like the fact that they jack up the prices of flowers on Valentine's Day because they know men will buy them. I feel sorry for the guys sometimes. They say the "average" guy will spend about $150.00 just on flowers and candy together .OUCH!!! Oh trust me I am not complaining in terms of receiving flowers. I have just directed hubby where to go if he chooses to buy them early where they don't jack up the cost as much and then I don't feel so guilty. I have also told him before (like this year) buy them the day after(almost half price) since they will still mean the same and we are not celebrating till later anyway. Hubby and I over the past few years have taken turns to plan Valentine's Day. This year we are planning together. He has had my gift for weeks and I have no idea what he has gotten. Anyway, I do hope each of you has a wonderful day but remember the greatest love was the sacrifice that Jesus made for our sins!

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Showers of Love!

Well, Sunday was my BIG day! Yep, my baby shower! I was so nervous and if you know anything about me you might say that is out of character for me. I arrived promptly right before 2:00 p.m. to take the usual pictures of hostesses, cake table, mothers/family, presents, and other such stuff. I was not anticipating such a display of love around the room. What I mean is, I had no idea that my sweet hostesses were going to go through that much for me. The cake was a ABC blocks divided into three blocks and stack in such a beautiful way that I had to just pause for moment and stare. There were flowers and balloons. I could go on for hours about the decorations. It was lovely! What I am most surprised by was the number of people who came through those doors for me and my unborn child. The age range was even more surprising. I had to take a break from opening presents at some point in the middle of the shower so I could just survey the room of who was there. Do you ever feel that out pouring love from God and his people? I felt as if God said " I love you my child and I am going to show through my people just how much I love you!" As I write this tears still swell in my eyes by the overwhelming amount of love that I felt that day. I can not THANK my sisters in Christ enough for loving me by coming to such a special day for my family. I don't know if any of this makes sense but my heart is full of love and joy and will be with me in my memory pocket for a very long time! So, Thank You to all who gave, came, loved, shared, and continue to do so on a daily basis. I love y'all!

Isaiah 58

10 "and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry

  and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,

then your light will rise in the darkness,

and your night will become like the noonday.

11 The LORD will guide you always;

  he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land

and will strengthen your frame.

You will be like a well-watered garden,

like a spring whose waters never fail."

 Many many blessings to you!!!
